Lawful cooperation, fictional personal payments, temporary support and lasting accountability.

In a regular presidency, open Cabinet to approach a serving minister, or a fictional parliamentary liaison when an unsigned financing proposal exists. You may refuse, report the approach or seek lawful cooperation. A bribe is an explicitly confirmed risky alternative, paid from personal game cash.

These fictional storylines demonstrate consequences inside the simulation. They are excluded from the Monthly Challenge and describe no actual people or real corruption allegations.

Opening an approach§

One approach opens per simulated month, and none can open on the final policy decision. The target’s competence and loyalty determine a visible tendency: principled recipients report an attempted bribe, wary recipients refuse it, and transactional recipients accept it and keep evidence.

Refusal costs no capital. Reporting costs four political capital. An open policy briefing costs six and can provide modest temporary minister cooperation, or eight temporary Senate seats through the liaison, without paying personal cash.

If you choose a personal payment§

You must deliberately acknowledge the payment and have available personal cash after obligations. A principled recipient reports the attempt before money is transferred. A wary recipient refuses without a payment, with a small approval loss. An accepted payment reduces trust and stability.

Support expires after the next saved policy. It cannot bypass a court, an already blocked policy, lender conditions or borrowing limits. The recipient’s response is based on saved attributes; repeating the same request does not reroll it.

RecipientAccepted paymentTemporary support
Serving minister₦250,000 of personal game cashLoyalty and up to an eight-percentage-point boost to one relevant implemented policy.
Dayo Oladele, parliamentary liaison₦400,000 of personal game cashTwelve temporary Senate seats for financing approval.

Evidence and the blackmail demand§

The next saved policy after an accepted bribe opens a blackmail demand. You must respond before saving another policy. Temporary support is already consumed; paying the demand does not buy another delivery boost.

Voluntary disclosure carries a ₦150,000 game penalty and reduced political damage. Refusing extortion leads to an inquiry. One deliberately confirmed extra payment of 60% of the original bribe buys one policy decision of silence, then an inquiry follows anyway.

Findings, penalties and game over§

Cooperating with a reported attempt brings a ₦100,000 penalty; cooperating with a paid-bribe inquiry brings ₦250,000. Cash and holdings cover penalties first. Any unpaid amount becomes personal debt, repaid from future presidential salary.

A proven finding stays in the record. Three proven political-payment findings end the active presidency. Exposure also adds pressure to the cabinet conspiracy system. A declaration, a repayment or a later popular policy does not remove a finding.

You can resolve a pending political-payment inquiry even after office ends, but it cannot restore the presidency. This three-finding rule is separate from the two denied public-funds cases in Personal wealth.

When several crises are pending§

Blackmail and inquiry replies can coexist with a coup warning, breaking news or public-funds inquiry. Each pending issue has its own response. Required accountability replies block another policy review until saved; replaying a scene or buying a tenure does not settle them.
