The in-game capacity to spend influence on governing actions.
Political capital is a bounded in-game resource, normally displayed out of 100. It represents the president’s room to negotiate, appoint and communicate. It is not real money, a wallet balance or a credit that can be cashed out.
Contents
Why actions require capital§
| Regular-career action | Current base cost |
|---|---|
| Cabinet appointment | 12 political capital |
| Stakeholder meeting | 8 political capital |
| Ordinary national address | 8 political capital |
| Sign a waiting bill | 5 political capital |
| Lighter presidential diary | 4 political capital |
| Diplomatic mission | 10, 12 or 14 depending on mission |
| Medical care | Depends on destination and treatment; emergency domestic care has a critical-health exception |
Capital and cooldowns§
An action can require both sufficient capital and an available monthly action slot. A low balance or a cooldown can prevent a move even when the corresponding button is visible. Read the cost and the rejection message before retrying. Campaign funds are a separate resource.
Capital and policy decisions§
Saved policy outcomes and elapsed simulated time affect your available governing position. Manage resources through the dashboard rather than assuming every successful speech replenishes capital. Spending a resource is not itself an extra ranked decision.
In the Monthly Challenge§
Entrants inherit the same starting political capital, and side actions are locked. A regular-career capital balance is not imported into the shared challenge. Paid longer tenures do not buy challenge capital or additional challenge attempts.
