One inherited country, one attempt and three decisions for every entrant.
The Monthly Challenge is the current launch competition. Everyone inherits the same fictional country and faces the same three briefings. Each account has one attempt per real calendar month in Lagos time. It is separate from a regular presidency.

What everyone shares§
Starting economy, cabinet, party, background, age, home state, attributes, legislature, public opinions, political capital and the crisis sequence are common. The fictional character’s name can be personalised. Individual policies then produce different outcomes; shared starts do not mean identical final countries.
How an attempt works§
- Open Monthly Challenge from the player HQ or leaderboard. Read its starting conditions, deadline and reward terms.
- Enter once with your account. Save the first policy decision to appear on the table.
- Work through the second and third published briefings, reading the country’s updated conditions after each.
- Finish all three decisions before the displayed Lagos deadline. The final save seals the run.
Competition constraints§
Side actions, second terms, extra decisions, rerolls and normal-career imports are locked. Personal health-management penalties and extra priority interruptions are excluded from this shared format. An unlocked six-, nine- or twelve-month career does not lengthen your challenge attempt.
The real-month deadline§
The period changes at midnight in Lagos on the first day of a new month. A saved attempt remains readable, but an expired challenge cannot accept another decision. Do not wait until the last minute: assessment and successful persistence must finish before the deadline.
Ranking and rewards§
Scores appear after the first decision. Completed eligible attempts lead provisional or early-ended entries. The Governance Index evaluates the recorded country results, so a later poor decision can lower an average. Rewards exist only when their terms are advertised for that challenge; they are not automatically paid just because a rank appears.
