Money, delivery and the economic consequences of a policy.

The fictional economy connects policies to services, inflation, jobs, poverty, growth and debt. A policy’s funding source changes its trade-offs. The economic indicators are simulation values; they are not current Nigerian statistics or financial advice.

Funding routes§

Reallocating existing funds can limit new borrowing, but means another programme may lose resources. New taxation can support public services while imposing costs on taxpayers and activity. Borrowing can support delivery now while increasing debt and future price pressure. Spending cuts can reduce debt while harming activity or services if badly targeted.

A proposal without a credible funding plan may have weak implementation. The most appropriate route depends on the actual inherited conditions and the size of the promise.

Reading the indicators§

IndicatorWhat to look for
InflationHow price pressure affects living standards.

Connected consequences§

Food prices may respond to storage, farm routes and transport, not just a subsidy. Jobs may depend on dependable power and training. Healthcare can support citizens and improve domestic care available to the president. Look at several indicators when judging a policy.

Different resources§

Political capital measures governing room; campaign funds support campaign activities. Neither is the real naira price of a paid tenure. The national debt and exchange-rate indicators are also separate from your account’s payment status.
