Choose or write the opening situation for a personal presidency.
Scenario Workshop creates a fictional opening crisis for a new regular career. It is useful for exploring a policy problem or shaping a different political story. It does not let an entrant replace the Monthly Challenge’s common starting conditions.
Contents
Starting scenarios§
| Scenario | Opening focus |
|---|---|
| A fresh mandate | A fragile coalition and demands for proof of delivery. |
| When the lights go out | Power infrastructure and the cost of reform. |
| The price of a plate | Food, wages and access to markets. |
| A nation at the table | A divided Assembly and coalition building. |
| After the oil boom | Revenue pressure and state funding. |
| Write your own Nigeria | A custom fictional crisis and starting conditions. |
Writing a custom crisis§
Describe a coherent situation with an identifiable issue, the people affected and the government’s constraints. Select the options offered by setup for difficulty, economy and institutional checks. A custom scenario changes the inheritance, not the rule that decisions need a credible plan.
Personal runs and standardised play§
Standardised ranked setups fix several gameplay choices for comparison. The shared Monthly Challenge fixes its complete inheritance and crisis sequence. Custom personal runs should not be confused with those common competitive conditions.
Replaying an opening§
An opening scene introduces the country. It does not submit an automatic policy. Your saved career retains the selected scenario, and subsequent outcomes follow your decisions. Creating another save does not reroll an existing monthly challenge attempt.
